Hi Gang,
Anyone else having cold start problems like this with a 2002 C270cdi ? Outside temp about 0c., starts normally after usual glow period, runs perfectly (no misfire) for about 2 seconds, then stops. Will restart after cranking for about 12 secs, after which it runs normally till next morning. No malfunctions show, and glow light does not come back on. I havn,t got any diagnostics done yet. Doesnt sound like glow plugs as it does start normally, then stops. Only other thing, probably not relevant is a very slightly rough idle. Seems very like the problem I had with my last C250, air leaks due to hard O rings. Ive had a look round under the bonnet for leaks and smells but all looks OK. Car has done 105K but seems to have been serviced by Merc dealer since new. Anyone know the location of fuel filters to check? Any advice/comments gratrfully received !
