Not done much today, got the o/s inner wheel area painted with rust treatment this morning, then coated it in smoothright and in the morning a coat of stone chip, then, its put that corner back together........roll bar and hangers etc come back from powered coating and look spot on,

Front wheel bearing come as well today, only thing im waiting for now is the caliper slider repair kit, comes with new slider pins, bellows and bolts, slight bit of play in the old ones so ditched them. loads more tomorrow if the weather is kind, start of putting back together with all new nuts and bolts and parts.............

Pretty good day, got a bit done and found some more work to do, started building up the O/S front, started with the lower wishbones, loads of copper grease on the main bolts, these can seiz into the bush making them hard to remove, they also adjust the camber and castor so they need to be free......

Mounted the roll bar hangers.

Fitted the new top mount for the shocker

Bolted the shock to the hub using new bolts i already had from another job, mounted the pair on to the new lower wishbone.

Bolted on the new expensive back plate with new bolts, these are merc only parts, couldnt find them anywhere...

I then had to remove it to clean the paint of the sub axel where the bearing seal sits.

Fitted the new bearing into the hub and fitted hub to axle, final adjustment once wheels are on, a run round the block once finished and i will have to recheck these..Fitted the disk and retaining screw

Fitted the caliper carrier, had to stop here as i am waiting for a reburb kit for said item......

Got the ABS sensor fitted and road spring with a taller top cup to raise the height at the front.

That was where the nice stuff ended, moved to the other side where i started to rust hunt, had already welded up a few holes on the other side last week but didnt get any picts, this was what i found on the turret

Look far worse in the pict, least its all solid and now covered in rust killer

Few other patches i found needing some love

Most of it has cleaned up and just needed some grinding and repainting, need to weld that small hole up you see above

Back in tomorrow to finish some bits but british GP tomorrow so wont be there long.......
