Hello all,

I purchased a 1999 S-Class 320 which is superb, although I have reset the COMAND to defaults (simply to ensure any previous owner settings were cleared).

Now the language is in german, although when I go to change the language the option is greyed out. How could this be? Everying still works fine just the option to change the language....

Please help me someone, and aplogies if it haa allready been answered on here before.

Regards

Stuart

this may not be relevent on your model, but on mine it has an option for automatic choice and defaults to the setting on the dashboard, which is english. the COMAND has the option to enable its own language but the dash hasnt.

Have a look here for instructions

) How do I set the language on COMAND? - mine is in German
The languages are stored on the Mapping disk. So, insert a mapping disk, then under the SYS menu is a "something sprache" menu which will no longer be greyed out - set it to English there.
