Last year, having purchased the SL in May, the Comand system cut out a couple of times completely, during hot weather. No music and the sat nav froze. Removing and replacing the fuse solved the issue each time and it didn't happen again.
Fast forward to the hot weather now and it cut out again. Refreshing our memory, we removed the fuses and tried it again.
Now it gets interesting and a little embarrassing. The radio worked. The clock worked but is now 2 hours forward and cannot be reset manually as it sets itself by the radio signal. The sat nav worked but looked different. It appears that it was in permanent night mode and I hadn't realised. I assume it's night mode although the manual makes no reference to it Well when you don't know any different, I thought it was a really basic system, rather than the pretty coloured version I have now!
So it works apart from an incorrect time, but what's the betting it fails again at some point? Any suggestions apart from take it to the garage to be put on Star? Will Star pick a fault up as it hasn't so far?
