Comand

For some reason my 2002 ML 270 Inspiration doesn't have the Comand unit so I would like to buy one and fit it, I assume that I look for one for the W164 and will it work ie, plug and play. At the moment it just has a JVC stereo unit fitted(spurrious) and a gap below. Ther is currently one on Ebay for £350 , are they worth it?

Be very carefully buying off ebay, there are alot of scammers about with comand units.

Careful. The A164 units wont fit or work in your car.

You need an A163 part number. I have one in stock

Its pretty much plug and play. They take about 15 minutes to install provided the wiring hasnt been butchered by the addition of the JVC thing. Also if you have a CD changer, phone controller or Bose then you will need a loom adapter.
