Hi all,

looking to get a 250d GLC AMG Line, currently own a 4.4 TDV8 Range Rover L322. it's primary used for a long distance cruiser and also performs towing duties on my twin axle caravan.
So i think it would be unfair to compare the 2 for towing prowess i know there will be compromises but this will be more than made up in fuel economy.
does anyone currently tow with one of these cars and can give me some feed back?
that would be awsome

:rolleyes:Hello and welcome,

The GLC is a brick so fuel economy isn't great, I'd go for the 350 for towing
It’s gonna be better than a Range Rover though hasn’t it ?

Welcome. As has been said try to get a 350. You will almost certainly find the 250 (2.2 or 2 litre) very lacking after your RR.

Have you thought about tbe abilities of the mercedes when not on tarmac ? Most of these soft roaders are s*** off road where as your l322 will go pretty much anywhere, think on . . . .

This is very true. And a GLC is a C class on stilts, it’s nothing at all like an Evoque off road f’rinstance

There are very few GLC tuggers on here, most of us tuggers use ML/GLE 350's, E350 estates and R350's, for a reason :geek::shock::)

TA vans are not usually lightweight so you may have the tail wagging the dog with a GLC :geek:
