Command code - Battery Replacement

Hi,

I need to change my battery and wondered how or where I get the code to restart the Command functions is.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can advise

Command units ain't coded.

They are!

Since around 2011 they became coded to the car. Replacing a battery though shouldn’t upset the Comand.

The lad means security code. You knew that !!

You dont need to enter a code per se like a pin to get them to work with the car, but they are coded to the car VIN. Any changing of the battery has no effect due to the latter. It would be different if you got a second hand command unit and expected it to plug and play.

There has been cases where the battery change has managed to wipe the coding, pretty rare but has been mentioned in here before
