command problems on s-class !!!!

got a new mercedes yesterday

and i have just learnt that the radio does not change stations in fm, or any other frequency, also tv says "no tv"........ sat nav works though

i am so as to why this is happening

do i need to reset it as it may have crashed or do i need to replace it.

My car is S55L amg year 2000. i think its the older sat nav type,

any help will be appreciated

TV wont work unless you have a TV tuner fitted. COMAND has the capability but unless it was specified at order time or retro fitted later you wont have TV as standard.

The lack of tuning is odd. You can try resetting it back to manufacturers deafults. However it sounds like the unit may be faulty!

If the Radio does not work you could try the Settings menu, if both boxes RDS and Regional program are ticked, and there are no stations tuned that you can recieve it will not do anything, untick the boxes, the retune.
