Command Sat Nav question

Greeting all,

I have just bought my wife a 55 plate C Class 220CDI with the Command DVD system built in. It came with version 4 of the DVD, which I understand is quite old now. My question is, other that a more up to date map, is there anything else to be gained by updating the DVD. I have read somewhere that you cannot just buy the latest map, as the system needs incremental updates. Is this worth it, or should we just stick with version 4. How much would this cost?

Hi Martin and welcome,, just buy the latest disc and its plug and play. Many improvements on the new disc

He did have some 2009 disks a few weeks ago, though the newest listed at the moment seems to be 2007. Changes regularly, or you can email them for a particular part - certainly a lot cheaper that straight from MB. Also worth trying comandonline.co.uk - not as cheap as above, but still cheaper that MB.

Versions for A/B/C/CLK/GL/ML/R went from 4 to 4.1, then 6.1 (first to have TMC), 6.2, 6.3, 8, 9,9.1 and now 10.
