Command Service Menu

Hi

does anyone know how to access the Command service menu, to set things like play MP3, DVD region etc..........or is this Taboo !

Seen a pdf of it somewhere once, but it scared me with every page having a massive *WARNING* on it

I did say no DVD til 04 and wide screen.

Service menu

SYS then AUX then highlight AUX then pressing,hold down Mute 1,3 you are then in the service mode

I don't think you can do any permanent damage to the COMAND but switching the DVD on while driving is dangerous and illegal.

It doesn't work on post 05 cars -MB removed the access

For comand 2

This works from just the FM display no need to go into SYS / AUX;

FM Mute +1 +3 hold for 10 seconds and you are in!

For the COMAND APS, access to the engineering mode was removed after Version 6.1 of the DVD.

I have "played" with these menus and not done any damage. I have enabled the MP3 and multi region disk. Also had the "DVD in motion" working for a while but its turned off now.

As Alfie says this facility was disabled by a software upgrade early in 2006.

Just that I'm scared when it comes to stuff like this Steve

No sense of adventure at all now. Computers yeah, no problem. Car stuff worries me.

Oh...and I haven't got COMAND in mine. Poor man's APS50 (Which I need an updated disk for.)
