Condensor replacing

Morning all. I have been told that i have a leaking condensor.I am thinking i might replace it my self. Has anyone tried to do this and how did you get on. Any suggestions will be greatly received...THx PS its on a C 250TD Estate Auto.

Find an AC specialist, ~£400 fitted including regas.

Just had my 2001 astra condensor done.

£110 for part
£70 for fitting
£68 for regas all plus VAT

In my opinion, as the labour charge is a small part of the overall bill it is far better to let them have all the hassle and also take the resonsibility should it leak from the disturbed parts. You will still be paying for the part and the regas even if you do it yourself.
