Hi again everyone im after some info about my c200 kompressor on a 52 plate manual, the aircon is producing a hissing noise from under the dash around the centre vents area, had it charged about three month ago and i was great to start with then over time it started hissing and then just blowing normal air from the outside tempreture. I had some one look at the car and im informed that the condensor has a small hole in it with tell tale signs of oil leaking out, what i need to know is ..is the condensor easy to remove and can i take it out without disturbing the radiator and also is it best to change the reciever /dryer as stated in the Haynes manual, ive read up about some of the removal procedure but Hanynes seem to contradict itself a bit. Ive had the system drained down now and just waiting for some dry weather to have a go at it ...many thanks

The bumber etc has to be removed!

The worst bit is the bolt holding the pipes to the condencer rust really badly!!!

Real pain sometimes!!

Yes it is worth changing the reciever/dryer whilst you've got the system open. They loose their ability to function efficiently as the dessicant becomes saturated.
