Continuous hazard flasing

i have a e220 cdi that was left over the weekend. i came back and the hazard light / indicators were continuously flashing.

even when the interior hazard lights is pressed the flashing wont stop.

i have had to pull the fuse but am left with no wipers or indicators.

the car has been to a merc specialist and they didnt have a clue !!!

somebody mentioned disconnecting / reconnecting the battery for a while.
but i havent found the battery yet !

When you do don't forget that it might reset the stereo, after which you will need the security coding to reactivate it.
