Yes you can, I have it in my C220, factory ordered. Would be interested in knowing solutions for changing to digital which work with the COMAND unit. I assume the set top boxes are plugged into the AUX inputs of the TV tuner and you use a remote control?

You need a digi box that uses a 12v power supply, the Bush scart digi box is the smallest.

Yes into the AUX sockets, the analogue TV tuner has 4 antenna wires going in, just chop anyone of the 4 and fit a lead with a coax plug on the end to the cut wire.
This Bush tuner comes with a remote sensor on a plug in lead, if the tuner is fitted up front, then its long enough and just use the sticky pad to fix it under the dash, or extend the lead if the tuner is in the rear

Thank-you very much for that Malcolm, I had seen the small SCART plug type receivers but actually hadnt twigged about using one! My TV tuner I think is built into the arm rest, so should make for an easy mod as Ive got to get the COMAND out soon to fit the Denison Gateway 500 I took out of the A-Class (IPOD lead to be placed in Arm-rest).

In Austria, you can still pickup Analogue, just like UK, but Germany there is very little analogue now!

Could I get a gateway 500 to work in my S Class? Mine is the 2003 facelift model. No CD Changer fitted (the car was only 47 grand new after all!!) and with the widescreen DX CD based comand 2.0 head unit!

I wouldn't mind one of those as it still amazes me that Merc build a car with all the buttons on the wheel and on the radio unit, but 3/4 of them don't work!

Cant see why not, Dension make the Gateway for the D2B and MOST busses. I had it working with the Audio 30APS perfectly well, and will be putting it onto the C220's COMAND DX 2.0 unit shortly.

Instructions can be found here if you want to familiarise yourself. http://www.dension.com/index.php?pageID=171

I find the most useful part being the Hard Disk and USB stick interface, better than a CD changer.
