Coolant has oil in it after head gasket change

My coolant still has oil in it after head gasket change(190e 1994 2.0 manual, is this normal as there is residue in the system, if so, how can I get rid of it ?

or, has a bad job been done, fyi the head was tested and was ok and was skimmed and replaced

There's no way of telling from this end. How much oil are you talking about.

I suppose a full flush of the cooling system, is the only real way to find out. You could try to syphon off the residue from the top of the expansion tank, and the top of the rad.

Does the oil look okay. With a less than perfect head gasket, the water would go into the lube system, and cause a scum on the top of the oil filler cap. But I'm sure you know this, as the symptoms of the original failure.

For me, I would go back to the garage that carried out the work, and air your concerns.
