Morning,
My E320CDI has been losing coolant (slowly say 1/2 lt per fortnight). I have so far failed to find the source.... Have had a new thermostat fitted and it appears dry in that area. All hoses seem dry - any ideas on where else I could check? Simon.

Hello Simon,,it take it that the car has no vibrations or humming when pulling lightly in top gear.

I would also have someone check the gearbox fluid level, just in case the rad is leaking into the box

Dredge-a-thread!

Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, but I had similar symptoms recently.

It turned out to be the O-ring on the EGR heat exchanger. A new ring cured the problem.

Hope this helps someone!

Jon
