coolant warning message c180 2001

I have a coolant warning message coming up on the dashboard it reads
COOLANT VISIT WORKSHOP

I have just replaced the rad and renewed the coolant does anyone know if i can reset this or do i have to take it to dealer.

You possibly have an airlock after replacing the rad, recheck the level and give the top and bottom hoses a few squeezes to expel any trapped air.

No reset is necessary once the level is monitored as being correct.

I know there is a sensor for the coolant level and that works fine but is there another sensor

Make sure your washers are topped up as this can cause a coolant warning to come up in error!!

have you taken it for a good long run (20 mile+) and run the heater at hot/cold/hot to get total circulation?? this will purge any remaning air and you can then top up to correct level
