Hello all, just purchased a 99 ML320, still got its standard radio/cd but doesnt want to play any copied CDs only originals. I presume its the way the copies are burned that it cant find the start of each track, you have to keep fiddling with the track selection button and then it plays the tail end of one track and the continues to play the the rest as long as you dont skip a track. Is there a way of burning these CDs that it will recognise?
Thanks
Mike

There were a few posts about this a wee while ago, with various opinions re burning discs. I can't remember exactly, but I think the general census of opinion was to use decent quality blank discs, and burn at as slow a speed as possible. Are you using Nero? I think it was recommended as well. I'm sure a quick search will throw up the relevant posts.
I use 'Infiniti' Discs, which seem to be decent quality. They cost anything between 10-15 pounds for a tub of 100, and no problems so far, (touch wood!), although I seem to remember someone saying that some players just would'nt play copies. Don't know if that applies to yours...hopefully not!
Sorry I can't be more help, but I'm no expert.

Thanks for that Al, will try burning at a lower speed and get some decent quality discs. God knows what Im using to burn, I sit in front of a computer every day for 16yrs now and I still cant tell you what size/speed/capacity etc they are, just no interest in them, until I try to burn a CD.
Cheers
Mike

If you want to PM me your address, I'll burn a disc using Nero, make sure it play's in my player, and then send it over to you. If it plays in your's...Bingo! Then you just use the discs and burning programe!

Mine's just a little kitten...doesn't smoke cigars :)

Have several more which I may use at a later date. (Sorry, like cats :D )
