Correct oil for C220 CDI Coupe 2002

Hi guys

really stupid question, what engine oil should I use for my car?

its a 2002 C220 CDI Coupe

No idea what engine it is (everyone here seems to have a W**** number to quote!)

any help would be appreciated

PS my manuals are in Swedish so don't understand them!

Use oil that says on the can "meets MB 229.3 "or the best one is 229.5

Or in Swedish

Använda oil med beskrining på burka "Passande på MB 229.3 eller 5

Another stupid follow up question...

what number oil do i need? e.g. Ow-30?

or does it not matter as long as it says meets Merc requirements?
