Afternoon all, I have a 1985 500 SEC which I have been told has the wrong wheels! The rims are the 14", 15 hole type that would usually be found on an SL and look somewhat out of place on my SEC. Does anyone know which are the correct wheels or how I can find out??

The following option codes are noted on the vehicle data sheet:
640 15-hole light alloy rims?
656 light alloy wheels, 10-hole?
664 tires 275/65 R17 with rims chromium-plated?

Thanks for the feedback.

The tyres that are on at the moment are 205/70/R14 so the description of code 664 puzzles me. It also suggests that the car came with 17" rims!!!

Thats a big jump from 205/70/14 to a 275/65/17. guess that sounds right for a 500sec!

I'm trying to find out what wheels the car came out of the factory with but I also need to replace two tyres to fit the rims I have at the mo i.e. 205/70/R14 95H. Doesn't look like any of the major manufacturers make them any more, I currently have a full set of Goodyear Eagle NCT2. I can only find economy tyres in that size.
