problem started about 3 weeks ago on my e280 1992, went to work and came home all fine, went out that evening and every time i stopped she died restarted first time no problems, next stop die again, following day carried out blink test and on pin 8 had 4 blinks which is,/ hot film mass flow sensor, and cleared it, then had 13 blinks,/ 02s (lambda) control system operating at rich or lean limit, cleared this one. then had 11 blinks,/ 02s 1 heater ( before TWC) - current too high/low or short circuit, cleared this went for a drive after say 3-4 miles started all over again, this carried on for 2-3 days kth 286 helped with this one and suggested that i checked all the wires and the connections on the lambda which i did and they were all fine, after doing this the 11 blinks stopped but still had the 4 / plus the 13 blinks, for say another 3-4 days then 13 blinks have stopped and now im getting the 4 blinks as before and now 9 blinks which means/ 02s 1 ( before TWC ) voltage too high, cicuit open or voltage implausible, both the air mass sensor and the lambda were replaced last year and she,s only done about 4000 miles on these two,
as iv,e said i have checked the wires and connections on the lambda sensor and have tried to follow the wires back through the dash but loose them, could this be just a bad earth wire some where or has the air mass and lambda gone again, and if so what could of caused this, and does anyone know what the meaning is ( before TWC ) and can anyone tell me from the pic what wire is the earth wire so i can try and run a seperate earth to the lambda, thanks for any help / advise on this one rod

Sorry you still having problems.

TWC means "Three Way Catalytic Converter".

"Three Way" refers to the chemical process of cleaning up the exhaust.

IF I can suggest anything in addtion to my previous posts I will come back to you.
