cranckshaft senser

hi, i have an 98 E2.8 that keeps cutting out while driving. have been told that the crankshaft sensor is the problem, does this sound correct and if so is it easy to change

Yep. that sounds spot on.

Right hand side of the engine as you look at it. Attached to the block next to the bell housing.
