Have seen it before, was very common on the old 112 and 113 engines when the harmonic balancer part of the pully used to break up.
Obviously, no harmony in that set-up

He does some quite nice stuff that Dan chap. On one of his videos he collects and compares data from original and aftermarket sensors (MAF, perhaps) and although the car runs with both sensors, the data shows that the car is being fed a different signal at different engine loads. The aftermarket sensor was sending the erroneous signal.

If you do not want to watch, the fault was caused by a slipped outer ring on the crankshaft pulley when timing the engine.

It was the Bosch sensor that was wrong (on both of the two he tested) ;)
The cables were inverted.

Please elaborate on the invertion of the cables. Thanks.
IIRC it was a crank shaft sensor for an Astra. The Bosch sensor from the motor factor had the two wires in the plug arse about face.

Nah..not the video i'm referring to; ive never seen the one you linked to.

there are two links somewhere .... one is the outer ring ring of the crank pulley/harmonic balancer that has slipped & the other is the crank sensor
