crank sensor

can anyone tell me where the crank sensor is located on a 1996 250 d elegance what does it look like ie what colour or how many wires etc and what will I have to remove to gain access to it thanx in advance

Crank position sensor is no. 160 in this diagram ; http://www.detali.ru/cat/oem_mb2.as...GM=717.417&CT=M&cat=19S&SID=15&SGR=105&SGN=03 .
Located on the bellhousing above the starter motor and held by one allen screw, the electric connection is one plug.
May be easier to access from underneath if you can raise the car.
