I'm sure this has been covered before but! just got a 1996 C220, dash electrics seem to have had a brain explosion. Heater control backlights flash when engine is running then go off when headlights are switched on? Heated rear window doesn't work, Rear Headrest switch doesn't operate? those two are together so I suspect it may be the switches. Coolant level indicator fades on and off but system is full of water, usual bulb problems on the main display. Any suggestions on how to stabalise/cure most welcome. My girlfriend has a C180 1996 and has similar but different issues so I believe this must be a general occurrence with W202 C Class but nowhere does there seem to be a general acknowledgement of this.
Oh and does anyone know where to lubricate the parking brake release handle, it sound like it's snapping off when released. Otherwise nice car.
