Hello one and all!

Hope your all well. My car Is a 1990 190E 2.5-16.

Anyway there is a creaking noise coming from the rear of my car...from the driver's side wheel area.

Now, I have changed the rear links and bushes, discs, pads and handbrake shoes. But the problem Is still there.

Im not too sure what else It could be. Over 40mph the noise disappears. But when your crawling along, or at generally lower speeds you can hear it.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Much appreciated...

Hi Zakh,

I had a similar problem with my 2001 E200 and it turned out to have a slight crack in the rear suspension spring. Unfortunately at the time we had just replaced the battery but the alarm code supplied by the dealer turned out to be incorrect so I couldnt even drown out the noise with the CD player........

Saz :)
