I own a 2001 CLK 320 - 2001, when driving I am getting a creaking sound from the rear suspension.

When I rock on the drivers side when stationary, it makes the same noise.

Any clues what is wrong?

Thanks

On some squeaks and creaks, and where a rubber boot is involved you can squirt oil or silicon in with a hypodermic needle and best done when the suspension is hanging.

In the case of bushes that squeak injecting between the surfaces can work and avoid a hefty repair bill, when the bush is sound and not worn

this works ...it'll shut up the creak but the bearing will still be worn.

good for a diagnostic though before you take the plunge on new bearings.

pattern bearings available but i tried some on my 210 e class and they don't last any where near as long as genuine merc.
pattern were £18 ish europarts
genuine £30 ish

fitting is tricky unless you have removal / installer tool
