I have a E300D (W124 model) 1995 speed auto. In Dec 2004 the Cruise control stopped working. The mechanic that has looked after the car for the past 5 years told me it was the ECU at fault (Part no 014 545 0 32). I bought a preowned ECU (part no 005 545 05 32). I have only just got round to fitting the replacement but unfortunatly this does not work either. I have tried changing the code plugs supplied with the units, still to no avail. I would be gratful if anybody could give me the reasons or the cure without spending £261 on a new ECU unit. Many thanks
