cruise control help

my car keeps taking off like i have put my foot to the floor. but when i touch the brake pedal the thottle shuts down. then its ok for a while then it does it again when ever it feels like it . where can i disconnect the cruise control . can take the fuse out as it share the same fuse as the brake lights

ps: my car is a 1987 300e petrol engine / auto

Hello. What leads you to assume it's a cruise control issue? Does the sudden acceleration only occur when c/c is engaged?

I don't know much about your particular car, but I'm sure that I read somewhere that they are fitted with an electronic throttle body. Best chack there first.

i do not use c/c .. but when it take off by touching the brake pedal it shut off so that why i think its c/c
on looking under the bonnet i now think its a vacuum pipe thats split . it will be hard to find tho
