Cruise Control stopped working.

Went out in the car today, the Cruise control was working fine on the way there. 3 hours later on the way back, it says the set speed on the dash, but the car just slows down. any ideas?

I had a similar issue to that, and mine returned to normal just the way yours has. It turned out to be a faulty ABS sensor. My local Indy charge me about £120 I believe

There is no confusion between Cruise Control and Speedtronic settings is there? Is the LIM indicator on or off when it appears to be dysfunctional?

Could be a failing battery auxiliaries always close down from start up and start-up again when the battery regains some charge. A battery should register 12.6V

2005. It is cruise control. Normally set on the motorway, but the other day, the car just slowed down again, but it showed the speed setting lines on the speedo.

Would a wheel speed sensor effect it
although I suppose a abs light or similar would probably come on if it was a wheel sensor.

How are your tyres? Would the backs be excessively worn compared to the fronts...that would switch it off above a certain speed...say 70?

Worth checking the brake light switch. Usually 4 terminals, 2 NC for the brake lights 2 NO for the cruise control.
