cutting out again !!!!

please help i have 97 e 300 d, which keeps cutting out as with alot of other people ecu ? edc ? light coming on i have replaced all small fuel pipes from pump to filter but still doing it anyone any ideas ?????????

Fuel leak won't make it cut out.

Check the crank position sensor and the key.

cutting out

apparently the pipes draw in air and 1 was bad, crank position sensor? were is this ? and for key do you mean is it worn or barrel faulty ?

They will draw in air but not badly enough to cut out, not unless the pipe was hanging off. Mostly they just make starting difficult.

As for the key, if its an electronic key the ignition barrel (EIS) has been known to fail from time to time.
