DAB Radio E class?

Does anyone know if there is anyway to retro fit a DAB radio into a 06 E class? If not, are there any plans from Mercedes to deveolop one. I have seen the 'Pure Highway DAB radio' but I dont fancy all the wires across the dashboard.

There is no retro fit for this as far as I can see,,I am working on a DAB for the car, but I have not finished it yet

I have seen one in a S,class but dont have any details of what it was, it was a breakdown, stuck in park on a petrol forcourt! but theres one kit out there!!

You could add this via a media interface, I am adding dvd/divx/mp3 cd /dVB-T to my comand 2 this way

I already have the interface working, was watching Iplayer last night to test the audio, and yes I was sad enough to tune into TopGear lol.

I am waiting for the supplier to get a price to ship from .pl to the UK but looks like the device I am after will come in at a delivered price of circa £100

where does all the new 'bits' go? Would this also allow for a reversing camera?

By 2012, all new vehicles will have to have Dab as standard ! ... green paper going through parliment, this Autumn !

So retrofit's will probably come sooner, rather than later !

What it does is provide Composite + L/R audio RCA jacks so you can wire up anything you want. I was also toying with a reversing cam, and have a small switcher connected so it will switch to reverse camera when the reverse lights power up

Wasnt too difficult to connect to comand, requires no Star programing
