Dash board light C180

Hello out there.
I am having a problem with the dashboard light (cue Meatloaf) on my C180. The mileage light does not work (others are okay) although for some reason it came on to day when I started up but didn't the next time.

Is it a difficult job to replace the bulb - do you think it is the bulb.

Advise welcome please - thanks in advance

Hi,
It sounds like the bulb, had similar on my C230K, If you give the top of the dash a bang mine would come on. The instrument panel will need removing to gain access but this is reasonably straight forward to achieve. Just pushes out from behind can be quite tight. You will have to remove the lower dash panel underneath the steering wheel though.

As bigasotonuk above, if its too tight then it can be pulled out with hooks.

One snag is that it will only come out so far as it will hit the steering wheel, but there will be room to get to the bulbs


Some dealers will pull it out for you
