Dash/Cluster Light level

Hi am I able to dim or change the light (lux) level of the dash/cluster display?

I have the interior light menu system, but it only dims the courtesy light.

E270CDI 2004 W211 Avantgarde.

How about twisting one of the knobs on the side of the speedo?

lol, i thought my eyes were going funny last night as the lights all looked really dim - i'd been fiddling with the reset button during the day!
