Dash Lights On 1994 C200

Hi there,
Want to check out something relating to the dah lights on my 1994 C200.

a) Is the rotary switch for turning the lights on meant to light up? Mine doesn't

and

b) Are the heating controls meant to light up? Mine doesn't also!!

If the answer is yes to both of these questions, I assume that bulbs need to be changed. I would appreciate any help relating to this.

Rotary switch in most Merc. models does not illuminate, a mystery of design, certainly not in the c class. If the instrument binnacle is lit (speedo etc.) then sounds like an bulb or optic link is duff.( not too sure which it is on your model) Just check the rheostat for the illumination first.
