Dashboard lights

I have a 1997 E320. Does anyone know how to change the dashboard lights?

Change them for what?
Seriously, I assume you mean change the bulbs in the cluster. If so, its just a frcition fit so either get the puller tools from Mb/Ebay or else do what the rest of do and push out from behind (drop the under dash tray and put your hand up behind). Once pulled forward, you should be able to access the bulbs but if not, ensure the key is out (avoids upsetting the srs) and slide the levers to remove the plugs. Pull out the cluster from the car and away you go.

Just to clarify I remove the undertray put my hand inside and pull the dash light cluster out.Or do I need to remove the steering wheel then push out the cluster?
I need to change the fuel guage bulb.

I think that you will find that you can wihdraw the cluster back far enough to change the bulbs without removing the steering wheel.
