It's probably two years since I set my lighting to have the headlights come on and stay on with the ignition. I had had a go with a couple of sets of of DLRs including a superb and well-priced LED set from Euro Car Parts - but they could all only be fitted by cutting the front panel which I thought was not a good idea as it would create a way in for the dreaded metal worm.
But I was prompted to take some action by a couple of incidents where "old idiots" walked out straight in front of me without a glance or a thought. I can imagine the newspaper heading slamming the "aged hooligan driver who ran over the little old lady in town"... because the motorist is always in the wrong...
It's funny. I guess Volvo set the benchmark but I've never been flashed since I've had the dipped lamps on permanently.
