Well my SL is debadged, but I have to confess that I didn't know until a Mercedes enthusiast at work asked me what model I had just bought. I hadn't noticed, probably because the car looks so stunning anyway. So now I am worried that I should buy an Sl350 badge or people will think I bought a bottom of the range!

Debadged means thieves don't know what you got.

If our CLS had come with badges I'd have taken them off anyway. IMO they just look crowded and wrong where they are.

Either the car's not designed for badges or the badges aren't designed for the car but something ain't right.

On any other car is just down to taste or vanity:lol:

This is 100% opposite of why I de-badged mine.

De-badging usually suggests you have a low-end model, in the range, but don't want to admit it

I agree with you, my 216 goes like a bat out of hell, and no one knows what it is:D:D

Malcolm, A man in an X5 found out yesterday I was looking like being late for dental procedure and in the relatively slow moving stuff the clown was on my rear bumper that gap improved by quite a bit in a very short space of time when we hit the dual track and I did not see the X5 anywhere in the next 7 miles. Q car at its best.

I thought the X5 was more of an off-roader.
Whats it like up against an M5 ?
