The farmers are still in the fields round us leaving about 25 feet of sticky mud on our road every time they exit a field!:-( So for the last month my beautiful 500SEL has been confined to the garage as there is no way I will allow any of the stuff to get on my pride and joy:).
Yesterday I went to start it up and ...............nothing! completely dead!Is it normal given the amount of electronic gadgetry under the bonnet for this to happen,or should I be investing in a new battery?

Your Mercedes
2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
Cars use more unlocked than locked, 4 week is around the max, disconnect and charge up, after charging turn the rear demister or headlamps on before you re connect, this will cream off any over voltage.

With the winter coming on if it goes flat again after a couple of weeks, replace it if it is 4 years old or more.
