I've a 2002 W211 220CDI which is now dead. over the last days it requires wait-and-start-it-again workaround to start but now is dead.
See this video for more details. Any thought ?
it is very hard to tell my only idea is the starter motor is not engaging the fly wheel ?? but that's only if he's holding the key on start when he's filming
seems like pumps, we can ear fluids flowing. the car went to official mb service workshops a couple of times already and nobody corrects this (assuming its a problem).
as the car hardly starts everyday, I think it may be a pressure level not achieved before the computer gives the order to start the engine.
Let see tomorrow. Thanks for your comments.
just a line to close the case. the fluid / pump noises were considered normal by the mechanic. the problem was the start engine itself, a non-reparable valeo. it was replaced by a reparable refabricated Bosch (cost 225 euro + vat, expensive hum?) plus labor. we have the Benz back. thanks for your support.
