Dealership response times..

I emailed a Main Dealer - through the MB website - requesting a main service. Today (TWO days later) I have heard NOTHING - ZILCH.

Are dealerships SO busy, that they haven't the time to reply?

I will keep the Forum informed, as to how long it takes to respond - if they ever bother to do so.!

I think, like a lot of online enquiry systems, monitoring is patchy. Someone has to access and read the emails, and they don't, so you could be waiting a very long time. I'd ring them.

Tempted to - but my little :evil: tells me to wait. There is another Dealership in the area who, I am sure, would like my £££££'s.

E-mails are good but some time its just easier to speak to people :)

Two days I agree it poor, but who checks the generic e-mails sent to the stealers? can you trace that it has been even opened?

I got an auto-response saying that it had been received and would be dealt with 'as soon as possible'.

Must have called in all the service people to deal with the crowds wanting to buy new MB's in the showroom :rolleyes:

I got one of them from a local dealer back in July and then again in September - still waiting for the reply to either query though !
A pet hate of mine - if companies invite email enquiries they should have the decency to reply to them.

Not just MB however - booked a table at a local restaurant by email last week - turned up - guess what? Claimed they'd been "having problems with their emails" - as in not reading them!
In fairness to them they were apologetic & sorted it out but still.............
rant over have a good weekend everyone!

I like technology think its great,

Sometimes though surely the old dog and bone has its benifits?

If you had no reply from your e-mail to book a table? if its important I would have rang at least speaking to someone they are more than likely yo put your name directly in the diary?


sorry if sound blunt, but imo it is often easier if you want an answer straight away?

as you say, rant over...

forgot to mention the meal was great but the underlying point is - if you offer online services - deliver them
anyway it's Friday night , life's too short I'm chilled , hope everyone else is too

Well, well, well..! NOTHING heard from MB Bolton. Repeated with MB WHITEFIELD - a response within a couple of hours (by telephone) and they couldn't have been more helpful. Explained what had happened - 20% discount and they will collect and deliver. Even offered a courtesy car - which I declined. BRILLIANT. PERFECT. They have got my business..!!!!!! :D

WELL DONE MERCEDES-BENZ WHITEFIELD..10/10. :p

For me, i have had dealing with 3 dealers over the last 6 years.

Stockport (w203 purchased new) - Very Poor
Shrewsbury - Excellent
Wolverhampton (w204 purchased new) - Good (but recently improving, so going towards Very good)
