debadging

is it possible to debadge the back of a c180 in the same way that i am aware of on other cars...namel a hairdryer over the plastic "c180" badge and use dental floss or something to get behind it? this badge isnt glued on with something or screwed on is it? thanks.

I've done my C200, I used a kettle of hot water, not boiling !! and some Twine, most people suggest dental floss, just the same idea really.
The digits are just stuck on with foam backing pads. Have some polish ready to remove the rest of the foam/glue that will be left on the paint.
You can't notice where the badges where on mine.

thanks for that bit of advice...its always worth knowing before you start taking allsorts of things to a merc of all cars to get badges off!!! cheers, will give it a go next week when we pick the car up.
