Hello. I have an F reg MB230TE. I have owned it for approx 12 years and it has been a good reliable car. Recently I have had problems starting. She wants to go but then it just turns over. The AA man diagnosed it was the feed to the fuel pump. My local repair mechanic has determined that the relay seems ok and the pump works but I will replace it as the threaded section has been broken (possibly by the AA man. It strikes me that from what I can see the cable is mainly shrouded along it's length so it would seem odd if there is a break. The mechanic ran a feed from the relay to the pump direct and the car started. I have read the the relay can sometimes be the fault? What can anyone suggest. I don't want to spend large amounts on a new relay just to eliminate this possibility. Does the connection from the relay pass to the pump via a fuse? The fuse diagram doesn't show a fuel pump fuse??? I wondered if someone might advise. I'm not a mechanic and I don't understand electrics. Derek
