Hi Folks,

Cold and dew start this morning. Put it into reverse with brake on. Sputtered around as if almost stalling then recovering, really didn't like it. Took it out of gear and all was well.

I've also noticed that, on cold start, it really wants to leave the blocks. A slight/not so slight vibration goes through the car like it's biting to go. This morning's episode felt like a worse version of that.

My theory goes along the lines of more fuel being put in on cold start and gearbox can't take the extra power when not moving?

Any thoughts anyone?

thanks,
john.

Hi John, would have to agree with your thoughts, car would have more fuel going in due to cold start, any problems when warm or just when cold???

Always a bit jerky on cold but beautifully smooth when even slightly warmed up.

Still not clear why it got sooooo excited this morning to the point of almost stalling.
