Hello!
As I'm new to MB I have a question about tires for Mercedes Benz ML63 AMG W164 - I bought a car and the previous owner has fitted tires of different manufacturers/treads on the axles but with the same size 295/30/22 (one manufacturer in the front, another in the back). Isn't it advisable to fit all four tires from the same manufacturer with the same tread? Isn't it possible to damage something when driving with such uneven tires?

Kristaps.

Its best to have the same trye acorss the axle, ie not mixed across the axle.

Otherwise no super issue.

Welcome to the forum and do stick around.

My C220 S204 is not quite as powerful as your car, but for over a year now I've been running on GY Eagle F1 Assyms 245/40 R17 on the rear and Michelin XClimates 225/45 R17 on the front without problems. I'd fit the XClimates to the rears at next change, but Michelin do not make them in 245/40 R17, I cannot find that size all weather tyre from another manufacturer either!

As said above, same tyres on each side of an axle, don't mix manufacturers/tyre type on the same axle.

I always used to run different makes on my old and modified W212 E63. Continentals on the front but the rears used to wear pretty quickly in <5,000 miles so tried several different makes over the years. No issues whatsoever.

Usually the same make across an axle is fine, though I'm not sure how the MB 4 wheel drive system works? I know that Jeep recommend similar tyre wear across all four wheels to save wear on the transfer box.
