Xenons look like a glass golf ball sat in a silver circular housing. You'll also have headlamp wash units.

An H7 will look quite small if you can see it at all.

As brandwooddixon says if you have a golf ball look you cannot see any bulb as such, and they would be Xenon and this info does not apply to them

With normal H7 bulbs you just take off the black cover on the rear and press in together the spring retaining clip, and the bulb lifts out, about £5 from garages

You have them here

Ouch, no they are very expensive and you will not like the quote, something like x 20 of the last quote

All I can do is to send you the how to change them paper via email.
This hopefully is the lamp and not the ballast driver

Xenons are discharge lamps that require a high voltage to ignite them, or make them strike, this is in the form of a DC to AC converter where the 12volts is used to generate several KV though at minuscule current, if touched it will make your hand smell like roast chicken, and could kill you if you have a weak heart or pacemaker fitted, only by trying another lamp or plugging the car into STAR will you know if it is the lamp or ballast driver

Just checked my service history the head lamp was replaced in 2006; is this the xenon light in question? if so do they cover for 3 years?

MB normally guarantee things for 2 years, but not sure about bulbs, they may come under a different category
