dipstick tube

02 220cdi whilst under bonnet' not hiding or the like i notice on the right hand side a red cap similar to gearbox tube . am i right in thinking this is where the dipstick would be if it was not electronic

if so i should be able to suck the engine oil out there instead of taking the underside off .

yes you will be able to suck the oil out from that tube,warm the engine up first

luv to but the car is gone by 0630 and not back till verylate and does an outstanding distance and cant even get to it on a day off , though it is mechanically sound and body good ,same for clk
