I have an E 320 cabrio imported from Canada where by law the low beam are automatically switched on in the position "off". I want to disconnect it.
Any help?
Thanks in advance

Don't hold me to this, but, I believe the system is still controlled through the switch, a replacement switch foir a uk spec car may solve the problem for you. U can only get them from a dealer, unfortunately, and being an electrical item, once fitted cannot be returned. So, check carefully first.

I think there are also some relays that you can disconnect (but this may stop the lights working at all)(or you may have to get jumpers to replace the relays with, which connect two of the contacts together)

Look in the fuse box, see if the relays are labelled on the fuse i.d card

This is the famous US/Canada "Driving Lights" scenario. If you have a look on www.mercedesshop.com they have discussed this loads of times. Im sure david is right about the switch though.

cheers
