Distance to next service indicator?

The wife nicked my BM today, something about needing more chairs to lug her mate around on a coffee morning, I'm coming back as a Woman in the next life :p

Anyways after firing her SLK up I was expecting to be advised when the next service was due, I thought the mileometer showed this for a few seconds, or did I dream it.
