DL63JTZ Anyone Know this car ?

I've just purchased a Mountain Grey A180 from a dealer in Coventry & I'd like to know more about the history of this car which originated from lookers in Stoke on Trent. It may also have carried the personal number plate of YTU 531 in or around 2017

Anyone Please ?

Not getting anything from the DVLA so I'm guessing the plate has just been nailed onto the car

It is insured though which is good

It was on the number plate DL63 JTZ & a DVLA check at the time confirmed mileage over the MOT's & the fact it had only ever failed on tyre wear. When the V5 came back it showed that it had suffered structural damage & had been inspected. I've checked the car which seems so well screwed together without any squeaks or indication of interior panels being removed, & the window glass codes are all the same, & panels gaps are good & no paint shade differences between the panels.

The number plates are signed Mercedes Stoke on Trent & Lookers at Stoke on Trent have provided me with service history up to Dec 2017

An Experian check showed damage occurred in March 2019. It also showed the car has had number plate changes

When I carried out the most recent DVLA check & put in the V5 number it showed the 3 garages that have carried out MOT's to be in the Stoke on Trent area
And of course it now has my personal plate YR 03 DJR so yes it's insured.
Just trying to establish the extent of damage

A brief Google seems to reveal the possibility of it being Category S , This designation stays with the vehicle and likely why it is recorded on the v5

Mercedes in Stoke on Trent have only been Mercedes Lookers for about a year, they were Mercedes Drayton before that.
So that plate can only be a year old?

The digital service history supplied to me does actually state Drayton group Ltd Cobridge Road Stoke on Trent.

I'm really hoping someone will recognise the car & enlighten me as to the extent of the damage.

The first MOT was carried out by Drayton of Stoke in Nov 2016, the 2nd MOT was carried out ABP Motorsport Newcastle Road Crewe in Oct 2017 & the 3rd Mot was carried out by Crossways Garage in Stallington Road Blythe Bridge Stoke on Trent in Oct 2018 & the final MOT in June 2019 was carried out by Loyal Automotive in Coventry (who are at the same address as the dealer from whom I bought the car.

Did the selling dealer declare the damage history at the time of purchase? If not, are you sure you want to keep it?

I have now completed a 'Freedom of information' request from DVLA & hope to hear from them within 28 days.

For anyone else thinking of requesting something similar use for V888 & it costs just £5
